Viennese hairdresser Christine Wegscheider created ageless festive looks for the shooting with women at the beginning of the second half of life for the Austrian publication Wechselweise

Vienna's hairdressers are breaking the time limits of beauty styles. Recently, Fashion.at presented the Intercoiffure Austria 'timeLESS' hair trends for 2023 (article) which are inspired by the image of women propagated by couturiers like Jean Paul Gaultier. The designer spoke with the German Press Agency (article from today on spiegel.de) about aging in our society, breaking taboos, rules, codes and reminded that older models on the catwalk had caused discussions in previous years.

Independently from the mentioned hair trends 2023 presentation, Vienna-based hairdresser Christine Wegscheider teamed up in mid-October this year for a photo shoot of festive hair and fashion looks for one of Austria's newest publications. 'Wechselweise' was founded by
the Austrian journalist Veronika Pelikan with the aim of breaking the taboo on menopause. The media start-up celebrated in October 2022 its first anniversary. Soon after the launch in 2021, Wechselweise was nominated due the editorial concept targeting on the mediation of special information, which is underrepresented in public until yet, for the Austrian State Prize Marketing 2022. The online portal Wechselweise delivers health advice and lifestyle news for people who are at the beginning of the second half of their life. The change of life is seen as a chance for starting something new such as realizing projects or changing the look and lifestyle.

In early November, hairdresser Christine Wegscheider posted on Instagram photos from the shooting for Wechselweise with the participating representatives of a new understanding of 'aging' in the meaning of growing personalities such as architect and interior designer Andrea Lagler, who mentioned the interest in trying something new as a reason for participating in the shooting, or artist Claudia Nebel, who is cited in the article about looks for festive events in early December on Wechselweise.net with a statement about this phase of life (translated from German to English): "Especially in the second half of life, it is important to say goodbye to certain ideas so that there is room for something new."
