Austria Insight: New perfume 'Antal' by Estoras inspired by the lifestyle of Antal Esterházy and the history of adventure traveling

The perfume 'Antal' of the new brand 'Estoras' (Latin word for the name of the family 'Esterházy' with origins in the Middle Ages) by Paul-Anton Esterházy captures Austrian-Hungarian history and the memory of the lifestyle of Prince Antal Esterházy (1903 - 1944) who was in the early 20th century a pioneer of adventure traveling with cars, especially Austrian Steyr cars which were tested in the Sahara in Northern Africa. One of the travels led Antal Esterházy together with his friend László Almásy (his life became the source for the story of the Oscar-winning movie 'The English Patient') to the pyramids in Egypt. (A detailed story about the adventure of Esterházy and Almásy is published at austroclassic.at.)

At the website estoras.co, an around 100 year old perfume bottle is presented with the information which role it played in the creation of the unisex scent. The eau de parfum was composed by Marie Urban le Febvre of the Berlin-based fragrance laboratory Urban Scents as an olfactory world journey and time travel from the past to the present. The brand design was created in Vienna by the international team of Studio Riebenbauer.

'Antal - Chasing The Horizon' is available from today at the Viennese stores Le Parfum and The Treasury, and online via estoras.co.
