Vienna Insight: Opening of the new hair salon 'Soft & Cut' with furnishings by OTTO Austria dedicated to diversity and accessibility
The opening of the hair salon Soft & Cut at Kaiserstraße 67 in Vienna's 7th district will take place today at 17:00. The store's owner, Ina Holub, teamed up with the Austrian division of the OTTO Group to transform the space into an inclusive salon in vintage 1980s style with focus on diversity and accessibility. The interior design was curated in partnership with OTTO.
The salon is designed to be a multi-barrier environment, including for customers with disabilities. In particular, the selection of furnishings prioritizes comfort, functionality and aesthetics while ensuring accessibility for all guests, according to the press release.
The hairdressing chairs sourced from ottoversand.at are specially designed without armrests and are spacious enough to accommodate people of different sizes. They are also equipped to support extra weight and are easily maneuverable to provide ample space for wheelchair users. In addition, the salon's mirrors and grooming products are strategically placed to facilitate personalized styling. The 'OTTO X Soft & Cut' design style extends to the waiting area, where clients are greeted with a nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of the '80s. Plush ottomans, corduroy pillows and retro magazine racks complement the pastel colored décor.
