European fitness center chain McFit's new functional training gyms 'High5' will open this year on 30 locations in Germany and Austria. At the press-preview on 27 March in Vienna, TV-personality Andreas Moravec - he is sports reporter and has an own show where he is testing Austria, whether it's the knowledge of Austrians about certain issues or the quality of products, tried out the new High5 gym together with athletes. His gym partners on this day were Austrian snowboard Olympic gold winner Julia Dujmovits and the American football players of the Vienna Vikings Precious Ogbevoen and Alexander Hertel.

Result of the gym check: the functional training (which focuses especially on strengthening the muscles to stabilize the body) is ideal for the preparation for sports like football, snowboarding or other activities like running. It's quasi a prophylactic training to prevent injuries.

The concept originates from US. Fitting to the heritage, the interior of the gyms is inspired by American vintage and college look. The monthly rate is very affordable: it starts at 9,90.- Euros; with the full package option of 19,90.- Euros, the doors to the European McFit studios are open as well. Additionally, personal trainers can be booked.

On 9 April, the first High5 gyms will open officially. Between 9 and 14 April, High5 gyms can be tested for free.
