On 11th June 2008 Avon Foundation's honorary chairman Reese Witherspoon met in Kochuan (Tokyo) at a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony women who are breast cancer survivors.

The American actress increases with her international popularity the awareness for supporting women on breast cancer, domestic violence and emergency relief initiatives in the Asia region.

The Tea Ceremony with its multi-faceted traditional activity designed to capture the spirit of healing the body, mind and soul, offered an open forum to discuss breast cancer issues and needs in Asia, which is a critical topic because of the lack of medical equipment and the stigmatisation of the disease.
